Mr. Hollas holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, specialising in Economics and Finance from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (FIA), a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the UK Institute of Directors. He is also, a Certified Pension Fund Trustee of the Kenya College of Insurance.
He has extensive experience in finance, having worked as a consultant in various countries. Mr. Hollas was a Senior Partner and Chief Executive, at PricewaterhouseCoopers responsible for East, Central and West Africa, before his retirement in 2010. Currently, he is managing his own consultancy firm and devoting his time to non-executive roles.
Group Managing Director
Dr. Wairegi holds a Honorary Doctorate Degree from Kenyatta University, a Masters of Business Administration Degree and Bachelor of Commerce Degree both from the University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K).
He is a Director of HF Group Limited. He is also the Chancellor of Kenyatta University, a former chairman of the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) and former board member of the Board of Trustees of the Insurance Training and Education Trust (ITET).
Dr. Munga is a retired Deputy Secretary in the Government of Kenya. He holds an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration (Honoris Causa) from United Graduate College and Seminary. He is a Certified Public Secretary with vast experience in both public and private sector management. He also holds the Yara Prize for a Green Revolution in Africa Laureate 2009 award.
Dr. Munga is the former Chairman of Equity Bank Limited, former Chairman of National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK), Chairman of Equatorial Nut Processors Ltd and Chairman of Fresho International Limited. He is an enterprising businessman and runs the Pioneer Group of Schools.
Mr. Mbaru is the Chairman of Dyer and Blair Investment Bank Limited. He is also a director of several other financial and non-financial institutions including Nairobi Securities Exchange, a public quoted company on the NSE and Sanlam Africa Core Real Estate Investors Limited, listed on the Mauritius Stock Exchange.
He is a former chairman of the African Stock Exchanges and is a former member of the National Economic and Social Council.
Mr. Mbaru holds a Master of Business Administration from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree both from the University of Nairobi. He is a fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management.
Principal Executive Director (Business)
Mr. Wandera is currently the Principal Executive Director (Business), overseeing the International Division of six countries and two insurance companies in Kenya. He is also a past Chairman of the Association of Kenya Insurers and a former Governor of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA).
Mr. Wandera holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, both from the University of Nairobi. He has extensive experience in insurance and is also a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII).
Mr. Mohamed is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Financial Manager with diversified consulting skills, comprehensive project management experience and extensive knowledge of the public sector, financial services and healthcare industries. He has been a partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, leading advisory services both in Kenya and in the United States. He has over 20 years of global experience in both developed and emerging markets.
Mr. Laiser is an enterprise development economist by profession, and his areas of expertise are SME and rural development, micro-finance, industrial development and management, as well as technology transfer. He spent 25 years working on SME development as a Manager and consultant in Tanzania and other SADC countries. He is currently the Director-General of Small Industries Development Organization (SIDO).
Mr. Laiser has chaired several organizations, such as Credit for Productive Activities for Women in Tanzania and Tanzania Youth for Employment Foundation. He has also been a consultant for UNIDO, ESAMI, SADC, SIDA and ECA. Mr. Laiser has a Master’s in Development Finance, Project Planning and implementation from Williams College, Boston USA and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economic Planning from the University of Dar es Salaam. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management & Planning from the University of Colorado USA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Project and Planning Appraisal from the University of Bradford UK.
Ms. Caroline has wide experience in accounting, financial management and corporate governance. She has worked with the University of Nairobi, and Strathmore University as a lecturer in accounting as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers in audit and assurance. Carol has also sat on a number of boards locally and internationally. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) where she has chaired a number of committees.
Ms. Loner holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Graduate school of Business Administration New York University. She has over thirty years’ experience in financial services and asset management. She is a Director at Sura Asset Management S.A. Colombia. She also serves as a Director of the Supervisory Board of Procredit Holdings AG & Co Germany.
Mr. Odo is the Managing Director for AfricInvest East Africa and a Senior Partner with the AfricInvest Group. He has over 25 years experience working in various sectors in East and Southern Africa region including Agribusiness, Banking, Insurance, Micro finance, and Appointment of George Odo as a Director of Britam Holdings Plc International development. He previously served as a Non-Executive Director (NED) for the UAP Insurance Group, Family Bank Kenya, Brookhouse International School Kenya, Mayfair Bank Kenya and Danish Refugee Council for Horn of Africa and Yemen.
Mr. Odo holds an Executive MBA degree from United States International University (Kenya) & Columbia University (USA), a B Com degree from Rani Durgavati University (India) and is also a Certified Partnership Broker and a Certified Accountant.
Mr. Minter is the Head of Principal Investments & Acquisitions at Swiss Re Ltd. He is responsible for the ongoing management of Swiss Re’s principal investments portfolio as well as for acquisitions and divestments of both strategic and financial holdings of the Swiss Re Group.
Mr. Minter has over 25 years’ experience in Investments Management, Private Equity, Corporate Development and Finance. Prior to joining Swiss Re, he held a number of senior positions at Deutsche Bank between 2001 and 2012. Between 1993 and 2001, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Prague and Zurich, where he advised international clients across a range of transactions and situations.
Mr. Minter holds a Master's degree in Law and History from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Mrs. Kiruki is the Director, ¿Legal & Company Secretary and has been with Britam Group for over 10 years. Prior to this, she was the Director Legal and Human Resource. She holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi. Mrs. Kiruki also is a Certified Public Secretary (CPS), an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner of Oaths, Notary Public, Certified Governance Auditor, Certified Executive Leadership Coach and a Certified Human Resources Manager.
