Betalab, located at Britam Centre in Upper hill, is an acceleration program aimed at exploring acquisitions and collaborations with technology-driven startups and innovators solving challenges within the financial services industry, specifically in the area of insurance & investments.

Participants in the Betalab Accelerator & Incubator Program can expect to get various benefits including, but not limited to:

  • Access to industry expertise and resources, business advisory support, technology platform support.
  • Resources to enable refinement of the innovations and make them commercially viable.
  • Mentorship from a range of experts and high-profile mentors, networking, navigation, peer-to-peer support from the cohort group established through workshops, webinars and events.
  • Opportunity to pitch the innovation to investors and partners during the Demo Day.

Eligible applicants will be scored against the following criteria: innovation, inclusivity, scale potential, traction, and leadership. We are seeking skilled, revenue-generating start-ups with existing products ready for equity partnership.

Applications are screened, shortlisted, assessed, and scored to proceed to the interview stage. The interview process is the final stage for the startup to pitch the idea to Britam. Britam shall make the final decision on the startups to onboard in Betalab.

Betalab respects and values confidentiality and intellectual property. The lab has placed measures to ensure that works are properly attributed and protected; and that any commercialization is done legally and fairly.

The program is expected to start in March 2024 and will run for 6 months. The program timeline will be communicated to selected startups during the onboarding process. Qualifying participants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

We are committed to supporting up to 10 outstanding startups.
